Reasons For Quick Update Of PR By Google

So, Google started to update PR right now. This process of update started within three months. I scratched my mind and find the possible reasons for this quick update. They are-

1. Google can update PR more often if they want, now they just did

2.  Google only calculate portion of URL’s when compared to last update

3.  PR algorithm has been changed or compromised

4.  Google has much more CPU power than before

As the PR algorithm is being changed, the GOOGLE transforms PR every week or twice in a month. But they perform  tool bar update when they want us to see one.

Even I understand that Google did have internal PR changed as often as the SERPS, but I fail to understand what prompted them to export the result on the front end…ever so often?

Wanna Facebook Vanity URL?

It is Good News for all the members of facebook. Yes!!! You’re correct.  Facebook is going to allow all of it’s members to pick up a brand new vanity URL instead of the one that just contains your user number.

Blacklisted names and Trademark infringements won’t be allowed in registering the vanity URL’s.

According to this facebook blog post, you’ll be allowed to register the vanity URL right from JUNE-13, 2009. As the names can be registered on a first come first served basis, rush to facebook to register your dream name as soon as possible.

So, there is one more product from Google. It is nothing but WAVE. They have prepared everything, but still pending.

What is Wave?

In the words of Google-

A “wave” is equal parts conversation and document, where people can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

Here’s how it works: In Google Wave you create a wave and add people to it. Everyone on your wave can use richly formatted text, photos, gadgets, and even feeds from other sources on the web. They can insert a reply or edit the wave directly. It’s concurrent rich-text editing, where you see on your screen nearly instantly what your fellow collaborators are typing in your wave. That means Google Wave is just as well suited for quick messages as for persistent content — it allows for both collaboration and communication. You can also use “playback” to rewind the wave and see how it evolved.

So, Google is ready for a big hit within few days and open-source with a full developer API and toolkits to develop your own apps.
